I figured since there was a rate your wife topic, I would do the other. If it has been already done, please disregard this. What number 1-10 is your hubby? I would rate mine a 9. He definitely was worth sorting out the bad ones for. He is my best friend in this whole world and has always been on my side (even when my side was the loneliest one). Love you Glenn!

Hi and what about free will!
by clare ini think i've finally left the jw's.
i have not been an active member since 2000, but always thought i would go back.
the problem (or solution) has been that i started to reason on how the true god or super being really viewed mankind.

Welcome Clare! I have never been a JW but I have been married to two ex-JW's, one disfellowshipped and one who just left. I dont think you sounded too preachy, everyone here seems pretty open to everyone elses views on god. I hope you get what you need here, everyone is really nice and understanding.

I love Ebay. I have never had a problem with any of my transactions. I only buy though, I have never tried to sell anything. One of the last things I bought was an artificial christmas tree. Some of yall JWD's might find that funny, haha.

Sharing birthdays with famous people
by target inwhen my husband was convinced to be baptized back in '74, the jw who studied with my husband went with him to meet with the elders.
when the elder asked for my husband's birthday for his records, he said nov 12 and the jw says "not my birthday, he wants yours".
my husband says, "it is mine".

Someone in my dads family, not sure who, was married to Jeffrey Hunter. He was the first Captain Kirk in the pilot for Star Trek. It was the one and only time he played the role. For trekkies the episode is called "the cage".

Sitting or Standing?
by LittleToe ina recent thread brought this to mind:.

i had a male friend, when i was a jw, who was taught by his mother to always sit when he pee'd.

well, to be honest, I am not really concerned with the sanitary issue. I have never caught anything by sitting on the toilet seat. Its more the wet ass gross out factor of sitting in someone elses pee for me.

Thanks Makena1 I agree totally
"My guess is that if women had the right equipment to pee standing up (especially if hiking, camping or a nasty public restroom is involved) they would never sit down again!
Compromise - use a little TP and wipe the rim when you're done! "
I hate going into public restrooms and slamming my butt down in pee if I dont look or having to wipe it and wait for it to dry because some other lady thinks its not sanitary to sit on the toilet. Well, HELL NO! not after you just peed all over the damn thing its not. Oh and by the way ladies, backsplash from peeing 2 inches off the seat isnt that sanitary either. If you feel you have to squat, do the next lady a favor and at least wipe the seat. We gripe at men for not doing it, and alot of us have no right to complain.
